The Deer Dreamers: Feb. 2, 2007
Maybe it was because I had been drumming before they arrived...drumming on a hand-made deer hide drum whose hide came from our land. I had drummed and sang my four medicine songs including the spirit calling song.
Whatever the reason upon arising the morning after I found several deer bedded down within 50 yds. from our house. I immediately felt they had come to help and were dreaming "with us" as we dreamed.
The next morning they were right outside our window near the sacred dreamer wheel.
